How tall is One Park Lane?

The residential tower is planned at 101 storeys and about 393 metres. Reports give figures between 389 and 400 metres. If it is completed as planned it would be the tallest building in Australia. The current tallest are Q1 on the Gold Coast, at 322.5 metres, and Australia 108 in Melbourne, at about 317 metres.

The residential tower stands beside a 60-storey office tower. A fully glazed skybridge joins them at Level 22, and both rise from a raised podium on sculpted, root-like columns.

Who is developing One Park Lane?

The project was first proposed in 2022 by a Melbourne-based syndicate of private investors led by developer Anthony Goss. Baracon is the development manager. BKK Architects prepared the concept design, Cottee Parker developed the design for the development application, and TCL is the landscape architect.

Has One Park Lane been approved?

Yes. A first application was lodged in 2022. A revised development application was lodged with the City of Gold Coast in June 2025, and its approval was reported in late October and November 2025. The site has no height limit under the Southport Priority Development Area.

Has construction started at One Park Lane?

The developer reports that site preparation began in February 2026, starting with asbestos removal and demolition of the existing buildings on the site. It reports that the land titles were issued and registered in June 2026, following a land swap with the Queensland Government.

In May 2026 the developer said it had chosen a preferred construction partner. It had not named the builder in its updates to late September 2026. The tower itself has not been built.

When will One Park Lane be completed?

The developer’s stated timing is completion in 2029; in 2025 the project team spoke of late 2028. Builders and developers quoted in the property press have said a tower of more than 100 storeys takes at least four years to build. Treat any completion date as an estimate, and ask for the current construction programme when you enquire.

Amenities

The developer proposes five shared levels open to every resident: a pool on Level 3, the skybridge on Level 22 with bar, restaurant and event space, a garden and Zen zone on Level 40, a gymnasium on Level 60 and a Skylounge on Level 101. Amenities are proposed and may change.

The developer is also scoping an optional yacht-share program for owners, with vessels moored nearby and booked through the building. It describes this as an early-stage concept, with indicative buy-ins of about $30,000 for a cruiser and about $100,000 for a larger vessel. It is not confirmed and may not proceed.

Where is it?

The site is on the edge of the Southport business district, beside the Southport bowls and tennis clubs. Southport South light rail station is about 60 metres away, Australia Fair shopping centre about 440 metres, and the Broadwater Parklands about 710 metres. Surfers Paradise is about 3.5 kilometres south.

Who sells the apartments?
